Spot Suggestion Tips
When a spot or stain occurs. you MUST ACT QUICKLY! The longer a spot or stain remains in the fabric or carpeting, the harder it will be to get out.
Use clean white towels to blot the stain and absorb as much liquid or scrape up as much solid material as possible.
Apply the appropriate "homemade spot remover" as directed for each type of stain.
Always try to clean the spot from the outside in, working toward its center.
Repeat steps, if necessary, and always blot between steps with a clean white towel to absorb as much moisture as possible.
A Few Words of Caution: ALWAYS DO A TEST SPOT REMOVAL on a portion of carpet that is not normally visible; Be careful not to over wet the area; and, NEVER USE BLEACH.
Ammonia Solution: One tablespoon clear ammonia to one-half cup water.
Dish Detergent Solution: One teaspoon mild dish detergent to one cup water.
Laundry Solution: One teaspoon laundry detergent to one cup water.
White Vinegar Solution: One-third cup white distilled vinegar to two-thirds cup water.
